Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Kenney was standout in cross country (1991-1995) and track (1992-1996) during his time at UWM. Kenney was on the 1993 Mid-Continent Conference cross country championship team. He was also the first-ever NCAA Track and Field provisional qualifier from UWM, reaching the national stage in the 800 meters in 1995. He also set the outdoor school record in the 800 in 1995. Kenney won the Herman Kluge Scholar-Athlete award at UWM and graduated Cum Laude from the university.
Since his days at UWM, Kenney excelled as the head cross country coach and boys track and field coach at Shorewood High School.Â
