OVERVIEW

Every part of a top-tier University contributes to its brand standing and reputation, and the Milwaukee Athletics Brand carries a great responsibility to consistently present a high-quality image representing the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to local, regional and national audiences.

Brand standards ensure all athletics branding materials share an authentic commonality representing our entire University. These standards apply to displays, uniforms, team apparel, equipment, facilities – every representation of our Brand.

These branding standards are comprised of tightly consistent dimensions, style, symbols, design, character and colors. This disciplined consistency is imperative for high-level branding.

Deviation from the official identity as shown in this Athletics branding is not permitted. All athletics units are required to adhere to these branding and identity standards.

Preferred Name Identifier 

When appropriate the preferred names of Milwaukee Athletics are listed below.

Milwaukee – Milwaukee Athletics – Milwaukee Panthers – University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

In cases, where it is neither feasible or is limited by space constraints – MKE is the preferred name identifier to use.

Other acceptable name identifier for Milwaukee Athletics include MKE, MKE Panthers, UWM, UW-Milwaukee. Panthers, and Panther Athletics. It is highly suggested to use the preferred name identifier whenever possible though. Please refrain from using the following name identifiers – UW-M, UW-MIL, Wisc-Mil, Wisc-Milwaukee, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
