Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Dr. Bill Smith worked with Milwaukee Athletics for 35 years. He started working at Milwaukee in 1979 as a orthopedic volunteer phsyican before working his way to be the team physician for all Panther student-athletes.
Smith also gave his time by teaching athletic training students, with countless graduates who learned from him in the work force today.
A donor and mentor to the athletic training staff, Smith went out of his way to help people. He was passionate about sports and seeing the student-athlete have success. He showed compassion when injuries occured and was very generous with his time and talents.Â
