Pitrof earned five letters and served as a senior co-captain in both volleyball and basketball. She held the school record for most rebounds in a game with 25 and finished her career as the all-time leading scorer with 503 points.

At one time, Pitrof also held the record for most rebounds in one season with 201 and a 12.4 per game average. She also held records for most field goals made in a season with 94 and the best field goal percentage (69 percent). Pitrof graduated in 1977 in mass communication and political science.
