Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Formerly of Elwood, Indiana, Humke came to Milwaukee State Teachers College in 1932. He was selected to the Wisconsin State Teachers College Conference All-State Team three times - twice unanimously. He was co-captain of the team that won the conference title and represented the state in the National AAU tournament in Denver, Colorado. Humke also played tennis and ran track at MSTC. He was a teacher and a coach at Washington High School in Milwaukee for nine years and in 1945 moved to Whitefish Bay where he taught mathematics and coached basketball and track for 32 years.
