Montoure was on the gymnastics team from 1981-85. In 1982 she was named to the all-conference team as her team took second place at the WWIAC championships. Montoure participated in the 1983 and 1985 NAIA National Championship and qualified as an individual on floor exercise in 1985. She received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in 1982 and Scholar Athlete Award in 1985.
