Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
A former cross country and track coach as well as athlete, Tierney retired with 31 years of coaching under his belt. A two-year letter winner in track and football, Tierney?s AAU coaching record at UWM is seven 5,000- meter titles, two 10,000-meter cross country titles, six outdoor track titles and 17 indoor track championships. His university teams captured 11 track titles during the school?s 16-year stay in the Wisconsin State University Conference. Tierney is past president of the Wisconsin AAU and the Eastern Wisconsin Officials Association.
