Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Earning 13 varsity letters at Milwaukee State Teachers College in football (5), basketball (5) and track and field (3), Kratz was also an ?Honor Ten? graduate and was named recipient of the Robert Ames Award as the outstanding senior in 1948. He captained the 1945 football team, the 1942-43 and 1946-47 basketball squads and the 1947 track team. Because of military service in World War II, Kratz competed during five fall and three spring semesters. Kratz spent 10 years as an assistant football coach at Whitefish Bay High School after graduation.
