Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Perez earned eight letters in track and cross country, winning several state titles and setting school records. Perez was a three-time state champion in 440- and 880- meters, setting conference records in both events along with the 880- meter relay. He is a former school record holder in the 440- and 400- meter and the indoor marks in the 440- and 600- meter. He was the AAU champion in the 440- meter indoor, 800- meter outdoor and the 600- meter indoor. He was also a member of several relay record-breaking teams. After graduation, Perez taught at McKinley Elementary, Brookfield East and Milwaukee Area Teachers College and coached at Pulaski.
