Bud K. Haidet Athletics Hall of Fame
Kriete, a 1965 graduate of UWM, is the inaugural recipient of the Panther Award of Distinction, which recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to Milwaukee Athletics. A pillar in the community, Kriete is a director and past chairman of Vince Lombardi Charitable Funds. The Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation has contributed over $16 million toward patient care and cancer research.

The executive director of the Milwaukee District Golf Association and a director and past chair of the Foundation of Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers, Kriete is the owner of The Kriete Group and Milwaukee Truck Sales. The captain of both the football and basketball teams during his playing days at Milwaukee, Kriete is one of the top rebounders in school history.
