MILWAUKEE – In the team's final weekend before the Horizon League Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Milwaukee track & field program will be on the road in two different states as the team splits its squad for a pair of events.

Milwaukee will compete in the two-day Clark Wood Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville at the Owsley B. Frazier Cardinal Park with the event starting at 10:00 a.m. (CT) on Friday, and 9:00 a.m. (CT) on Saturday.

The Panthers will also compete at the Drake Alternative, hosted by Whitewater in nearby Whitewater, Wisconsin for an 11:00 a.m. start on Friday on the Rex Foster Track.

We're Back!
This will be Milwaukee's first trip to the Clark Wood Invite since 2021, the Panthers last visited the Drake Alternative in 2018.

Louisville Schedule
Friday will be a lighter day for the Panthers in Kentucky in terms of scheduled competitions as action won't get underway for Milwaukee's entries until 1:00 p.m. (CT) as the men's long jump begins with
Anthony Campbell and
Tim Maidment. Other field events will begin with the women's long jump at approximately 3:30 p.m. (CT) and the men's discus at 4:30 p.m. (CT).

Track events on Friday will start at 3:30 p.m. (CT) with the women's 800m run featuring
Aubrey Anderson,
Anelise Egge and
Ally Schmitz, followed by the men's 800m run with
Gavin Czarnecki,
Nate Griepentrog and
Edgardo Valdes Gonzalez. The final event of the day on the track will be the 400m hurdles as
Brooke Crosby and
Leah Handshoe compete in the women's bout, while
Dane Nelson is Milwaukee's lone men's entry.

Field events will start off the day on Saturday at Louisville, with the women's javelin at 9:00 a.m. (CT) and
Olivia Busch, as well as the women's unseeded pole vault with
Ella Laughbaum and
Isabel Roloff.

On the track, Milwaukee will open things with the 100m hurdle prelims with
Brooke Crosby,
Cloey Fare and
Morgan Pilate at 11:10 a.m. (CT), followed by
Chris Hudnall,
Jack Misky and Nelson in the men's 110m hurdles. The 4x400m relay will cap off the event as the women's race is expected to begin at 4:05 p.m. (CT), followed by the men at approximately 4:20 p.m. (CT).

Whitewater Schedule
In Wisconsin on Friday, the Panthers will open things up with the women's discus at 11:00 a.m., as
Cynthia Hernandez,
Lauren Lietzke,
Samantha Satterfield, and
Tabitha Wechlo will begin the morning. Meanwhile the men's hammer throw will also be starting at the same time with
Caleb Rogalski and
Finnegan Shields in action.

Track events open at 1:50 p.m. with a quartet of Panther entries in the women's 100m hurdles as
Enné Burton,
Aubrie Gorski,
Jada Schuh and
Kortnie Volk scheduled to compete. The men's 110m hurdles follows with
Nick Hottinger as the Panther's lone men's hurdle entry.

After the 400m hurdles with Burton and Hottinger planned to run, the day will conclude with the 200m dash as Gorski,
Courtney Hoppe and Schuh participating at approximately 5:50 p.m.

Another Weekly Honor
For the third consecutive week, Milwaukee had a weekly award recipient as announced by the Horizon League on Tuesday afternoon. Graduate student
Lauren Lietzke earned Horizon League Field Athlete of the Week honors for her efforts in last week's Wieneke Memorial at the University of Illinois.

Lietzke competed in a trio of events with a discus toss of 44.36 meters, which was a career-best mark and the fourth-best distance in program history. She also had season-bests in both the shot put at 13.62 meters and the hammer throw at 48.96 meters to earn the nod as the Field Athlete of the Week.

Two weeks again,
Annie Guerrero earned Field Athlete of the Week for her record-setting high jump performance, while
Golden Cotton picked up Runner of the Week honors a week ago for his record-setting sprint efforts in both the 100m and 200m dashes.

Glance at the Podium
With this weekend's events as the final tune-up in advance of the Horizon League Conference Championships, the Panthers are in prime position to compete for some hardware with their marks heading into conference competition.
