INDIANAPOLIS – For the second consecutive week, the Milwaukee men's track and field program was represented in this week's Horizon League weekly awards as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior
Austin Wallace was selected as the Field Athlete of the Week following his performance in the heptathlon at the Jack  Johnson Classic hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Â
Wallace set a new school record with a point total of 5736 in the heptathlon eclipsing the previous Milwaukee mark of 5557 points set by Wallace a season ago. With his current point total Wallace now sits 12th Nationally and first in the Horizon League.
Â
Included in his heptathlon performance, Wallace set three person bests including the 60m dash (7.02), shot put (14.10m) and pole vault (4.40m).
Â
Wallace becomes the second selection for the men's program to earn conference recognition, following
Caleb Rogalski, who was selected on
January 24.
Annie Guerrero and
Kate Watson earned Field Athlete of the Week recognition for the women's track and field team on
December 13, and

Â
This is the first of the season for Wallace, and fifth career weekly recognition by the Horizon League, who was last season's Track & Field Outdoor Athlete of the Year following the Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Milwaukee returns to action this Saturday, as the Panthers travel across state to Wisconsin-La Crosse to take part in the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational at 2 p.m.
