MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Annie Guerrero of the Milwaukee women's track and field team was named Horizon League Field Athlete of the Week thanks to her performance at the DePaul Blue Demon Holiday Invite.
 
The award marks the first indoor honor this season for the Panthers.
 
At Friday's season-opening meet, Guerrero reached 1.68 meters in the high jump to place third. The graduate student cleared 1.55 meters and 1.60 meters with her first jump at each height and got to 1.68 on her final attempt. Her mark currently sits second among all Horizon League competition.
 
Guerrero and the Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, January 14 at the Midwest Invite in Madison.
