COLLEGE STATION, Tex. – Natalie Block advanced to the quarterfinals of the 100m and 400m hurdles at the NCAA West Regional Preliminary Rounds in College Station, Texas on Thursday evening.

Block opened up in the 100m hurdles, flying to a 13.31 performance to give her 20th best first round time and send her through to the next round. The quarterfinals for the event will be held on Saturday at 6:15 p.m.

Closing her night in the 400m hurdles, Block turned in her best run of the season with a time of 57.46 to comfortably move on to the quarters in 13th place. She will compete in the next round of the event Saturday at 7:25 p.m.

Block will need to finish in the top 12 of the quarterfinal round to move on to Nationals held in Eugene, Ore from June 11-14.

Tomorrow, Divine Aniamaka will represent the Panthers in the triple jump at 2:30 p.m.
