MILWAUKEE- Natalie Block will represent the Milwaukee track & field team in the semifinals of the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championships on Thursday night.
Â
The race will be held June 12 at 8:14 p.m. (CT), at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., and will be broadcast live on
ESPN starting at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
Â
Block will make the trip to Eugene for the second year in a row with some redemption in mind, after qualifying for Nationals last season before dropping out due to a late injury. Â
Â
Earning her spot in the field at the NCAA West Regional Preliminaries, Block ran a first-round time of 57.46 to advance to the quarterfinals. There, she blew past her own program-best time with a 56.95 to continue her season.
Â
Block will need to finish in one of the top two spots in her heat or with one of the three best at-large times in order to advance to the championship round held Saturday at 9:27 p.m. (CT), available live on
ESPN2.
