Graduated from DeKalb High School in Waterloo, Indiana in 2021 … was a two-year member of the varsity baseball program with the Barons in 2019 and 2021 … was a member of the NE8 Conference Championship team in 2019 … was a First Team All-Conference selection in both seasons on varsity and earned All-Area honors following both seasons … was named an IHSBCA North All-Star as a senior … posted 14 wins in his two seasons on the varsity roster with 180 strikeouts in just shy of 117 varsity innings pitched … helped the team to 19-win seasons in each of his two years with the Barons … also played basketball in high school … was a Four-Time Honor Roll selection academically … played club baseball for the Indiana Nitro.

Son of Lori and Merlin Ehmke … Josh, Caleb, David, Micah, Michaela, Isaiah, Daniel, Rachel, Sarah, Shaina, Faith, and Elijah are his siblings … father played collegiate baseball as Minnesota-Mankato … brother Josh played baseball at South Alabama and Samford … other brother Caleb played collegiately at Arizona Western and Southern Indiana … is planning to earn his degree in accounting while studying at Milwaukee.
