INDIANAPOLIS – Aric Ehmke was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon, as announced by the league.

Ehmke earned the honor following his second-straight win, tossing seven shutout innings against Wright State on Saturday. During his outing, he held the Raiders to a .167 average, scattering four hits and issuing three walks.

The Panthers won 4-0 on Saturday to take the first two games of the series against Wright State and extended their winning streak to eight games, tied for the fourth-longest winning streak in program history. The shutout loss was Wright State's was the first in Horizon League play since May 19, 2022.

This season, Ehmke has thrown 45 innings with 27 strikeouts and a 2-5 record. He has pitched a season-best seven innings twice this year, on Feb. 14 against LSU and again on Mar. 25 against Wright State.

In two seasons with the Panthers, he has logged 105 innings with 60 strikeouts. He has made 24 appearances in a Milwaukee uniform, including 20 starts.

This marks the second time in Ehmke's career that he has earned Horizon League Pitcher of the Week honors, previously being recognized on Apr. 8, 2025.

Ehmke's selection is also the fourth by a Panther this season. He joins
Riley Peterson, who was Pitcher of the Week on Apr. 13, and
Dylan O'Connell, who was named Batter of the Week on Mar. 16 and Apr. 20.

Milwaukee begins a five-game road trip on Tuesday afternoon, visiting Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. at Rocky & Berenice Miller Park in Evanston, Ill.
