GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators announced the 2025 Academic All-District Teams for the baseball season, with
Aric Ehmke and
Aiden Fishnick selected to represent Milwaukee baseball.

In his first year at Milwaukee, Ehmke has a 3.716 grade-point average and is majoring in accounting. Prior to his arrival, he earned a 4.00 GPA over three years at Frontier Community College in Fairfield, Illinois.

Ehmke began his season in the bullpen and later made 11 starts, recording 33 strikeouts over 60 innings of work. He earned his first win in his best outing of the season on Apr. 4 at Purdue Fort Wayne and was named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week.

He made his Panther debut against Mercer on Feb. 15 and made his first start against Minnesota on Mar. 4. He joined the rotation full-time in a home game against Wright State, then tossed 7 1/3 innings of one-hit ball against the Mastodons in early April. He had back-to-back six-inning efforts against Northern Kentucky on May 3 and Purdue Fort Wayne on May 10.

Fishnick, also in his first year at Milwaukee, maintains a 4.000 GPA in the university's civil engineering program. Before attending UW-Milwaukee, he also earned a 4.00 GPA at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

In his debut season with the Panthers, the right-hander tossed 24 2/3 innings in relief and posted a 1-2 record with 15 strikeouts. He allowed just one earned run over his first three appearances and earned his first win with 1 2/3 hitless innings against River Falls on Mar. 26.

Fishnick threw four innings against Valparaiso and tossed another three in non-league play against Cincinnati on Apr. 23. He threw a season-high 55 pitches over 3 1/3 innings while striking out a season-best three batters against Wright State in the Horizon League Championship.

To be recognized by College Sports Communicators, an undergraduate student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have a grade-point average of at least a 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. Graduate students must also have maintained a 3.50 GPA as both undergraduates and graduates. Student-athletes must compete in at least 90 percent of a team's contests or start in at least 66 percent; pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch a minimum of 25 innings.
