MILWAUKEE- The Milwaukee men's track & field team hosted the 12
th annual Tierney Classic at the Klotsche Center Saturday. The Panthers were highlighted by seven first-place finishes on the day.
 
"The Tierney Classic is an electric home event," head coach 
Andrew Basler said. "With many alumni back, the honoring of our seniors, and performing in front of family, I think that electricity brought out many great performances today. Thanks to all those who helped organize and run this successful home event."
 
Competing as an unattached athlete, 
Divine Aniamaka set the new Tieney Classic and tied the Klotsche Center records in the triple jump reaching 15.75m, winning the event by over a full meter.
 
Jeremiah Johnson started out the day in the weight throw, taking home the first win on the day with a throw of 15.66m. 
Josh Cygan was behind only Johnson in the event with his throw of 15.04m.
 
In the shot put, 
Aiden Janke had the best throw on the day, reaching 13.66m to finish at the top of the event.
 
Moving to the track, 
Jaelyn Reeves-Lile continued his sensational season by grabbing first place in the 60m dash, crossing the line in 6.82. 
Iyimi Fagbamiye improved on his career best time with a showing of 6.94 to bump him up to ninth on the school's all-time leaderboard.
 
Picking up his first colligate win in the 400m, was freshman 
Nate Taylor making it around the track in an impressive 51.73.
 
In the mile run, 
Nate Griepentrog (4:15.96) edged out teammate 
Carter Eckhoff (4:18.00) to take the top spot in the race.
 
The 200m belonged to 
EJ Kruse, finishing the event in 23.01, narrowly getting past 
Jackson Statz and his second-place time of 23.09.
 
The final win on the day for the Panthers came from the 4x400 relay team. The squad of 
Nate Griepentrog, 
Lucas Picco, 
Karsten Grundahl, and 
Harper Fahey made it to the finish in 3:28.66 to close the day on a high note.
 
Caden Thomas tied for the 10
th-best high jump in school history when he cleared 2.05m.
