MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee men's and women's track & field program competed today at the Marquette Invitational and the second day of the Bryan Clay Invitational, winning multiple events at the Marquette Invitational.
Though only one Panther competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California, Milwaukee secured multiple individual victories at the Marquette Invitational in Milwaukee.
Marquette Invitational
Angelica Refinski led the way for the Panthers on the track by winning two events. First, a win in the 100m dash by turning in a time of 12.40, which she followed up by winning the 200m dash in 25.53 seconds.
Kalea Weyenberg joined her in the 200m, placing third in 25.97 seconds.
Cloey Fare took the win in the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 14.11 seconds, while
Jamie Pankratz dominated the hammer throw, winning by more than three meters with a distance of 50.32m (165'1").
Kortnie Volk topped the field in the long jump with a leap of 5.32m (17'5.5").
The women's 4x100m relay team of Fare,
Katie Sciarini, Weyenberg, and Refinski took first place with a time of 48.91 seconds.
Chris Hudnall took second place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.76 seconds, while
Zach Weitgenant placed third in the 400m, finishing in 52.08 seconds. Weitgenant also took second in the 200m with a time of 22.25.
Ally Schmitz and
Rachel Helm took second and third in the 800m run, recording times of 2:19.69 and 2:23.50, respectively.
Alexander Maggit took third in the long jump with a distance of 6.41m (21'0.25"), and
Bishop Bufford took third in the triple jump with a 13.00m (42'7.75") mark.

In the only action of the day for the Panthers,
Anelise Egge took 45
th in the 800m with a time of 2:11.24, just shy of her program record pace.

The Panthers in Azusa will continue competition tomorrow, while another group will travel to Illinois to take on the Gary Wieneke Memorial, hosted by the University of Illinois.
