MINNEAPOLIS – Milwaukee's women's track and field team concluded the two-day Jack Johnson Classic on Saturday as the Panthers competed well.

"Overall, our team had a lot of fight with some events, and we did well overall", said head coach Andrew Basler. "We have a lot of positives moving forward and we're looking forward to having a day trip next weekend to see some in-state competition."

Several personal records fell for the Panthers throughout the course of the day, while several Panthers also had top finishes in their respective events.

Track Events
"The hurdlers ran really well today with
Natalie Block getting win following yesterday in the pentathlon," added Basler.
Meg Swietlik did well in the 3000m, it was awesome to see her back and competing with the girls next to her.
Cailin Kinas also ran really well in her race."

Dominique Thomas had a pair of top-three finishes as she clocked in at 7.54 in the 60m dash and also had a 25.64 in the 200m.
Isabel Roloff was sixth in the 60m dash and added a time of 26.94 in the 200m.

Brooke Crosby had a personal-best in the 200m with a 27.14, while
Cloey Fare picked up a 27.79. During the 800m run,
Aubrey Anderson finished eighth with a time if 2:19.40.

In distance events, Kinas led the Panthers in the mile run at 5:06.49 to set a new personal-best, while
Alayna Franson had a 5:19.27. In the 3000m, Swietlik had a top-five finish with a time of 10:11.37.

In the 60m hurdles, Block finished second with an 8.44 as she continues her strong indoor season; second for the Panthers was Fare who had an 8.83 in the finals after recording a personal-best in the prelims at 8.70.
Morgan Pilate finished with an 8.92 and Crosby rounded out the top-seven for MKE at 9.31.

Field Events
"
Olivia VanZeeland really stepped up in the high jump and put herself in a position to be at the top of the leaderboard in the conference," Basler added.
Â
VanZeeland led the way in the high jump for the Panthers with a 1.67m as she set a personal-best in her first season to finish fifth.
Annie Guerrero was right behind in sixth position as she cleared 1.62 meters in the high jump.

Both of Milwaukee's entry in the long jump tallied top-five finishes with
Maddy Troy notching a 5.63; while
Nadia Vo was in fifth at 5.58 meters. Pilate had a fourth-place finish in the triple jump at 11.86m, while
Adaline Powell was fifth with an 11.78m jump with
Olivia Busch taking ninth at 11.10m.

In throws,
Tabitha Wechlo led the Panthers in shot put with a toss of 13.32m, while
Lauren Lietzke was fifth at 13.30m.
Samantha Satterfield had an 11.66m jump to round out the shot put. In weight throw, it was Lietzke to lead the way with a top-10 finish at 16.30, while
Cynthia Hernandez (15.83m), Satterfield (15.74m), and Wechlo (15.00m) all registered distances for MKE.
