The Panthers continued to showcase strong results in the short sprints as
Dominique Thomas (7.65) and

"I think we showed our presence in the women's short sprints and hurdles," head coach
Andrew Basler said. "We're definitely improving in those events which will be important especially in conference when going after a championship."
Milwaukee put together several good times in the distance events as well, including
Aubrey Anderson (2:17.81), who placed third in the 800m.
Riley Hansen (2:19.58) finished fifth in the same event.

Morgan Pilate and
Olivia Busch both finished top-five at 11.55m and 11.39m, respectively.
"We're very excited with how both teams started off," Basler said. "Much more positive than negative and that's always a great way to start the season, especially at Iowa, a high-level meet."
The Panthers return to action next week when they travel to Indiana State for the John Gartland Invitational. The two-day meet begins Friday at 5:15 p.m. and continues Saturday at 10 AM.
"We're looking forward to Indiana State," Basler said. "It'll be a new venue for us, just like this weekend at Iowa was. Looking to build off the marks that we established today."
