MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee placed 173 student-athletes on the 2020 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced yesterday by the conference office.
The Panthers' total number of honorees topped the Horizon League for the fourth time in the past five semesters, just ahead of second-place Oakland (168). A total of 1,461 student-athletes earned the distinction league-wide.
Women's track & field/cross country led the way for Milwaukee with 32 members. Women's swim/dive was second for the Panthers with 24, with baseball right behind at 23 members.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season; 2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
