MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team completed a sweep of its three weekend matches by pulling out a 4-3 win over Bradley Sunday afternoon at Mequon Elite.

UWM again rode success in singles play to the victory. The Panthers won four of the six matches to make up for dropping the doubles point.

The Panthers (8-5) have now won three-straight matches over Division I foes for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign. UWM's eight wins equal its most since 1999-2000, when Milwaukee also claimed eight wins.

The win also snapped a four-match winning streak for the Braves (5-4), who had beaten UW-Green Bay Saturday.

"I am just really proud of this team for how they played this weekend," UWM head coach Matt McCaskill said. "Everyone is playing with a lot of confidence right now and it is showing in the results. Bradley is the second Missouri Valley Conference team we have beaten this season and it took a great effort to get it done today."

Kelly Drvaric and Kari Kastenholz were both winners in the top singles matches, with Drvaric claiming a 6-1, 7-6 win at #1 singles and Kastenholz a 7-6, 6-1 win in the #2 slot. Ali O'Neal (#4 singles) and Traci Litscher (#5 singles) also pulled out wins, while O'Neal and Drvaric claimed their third-straight doubles win.

UWM returns to the road for a single match next weekend, playing at Northern Iowa.
