MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's tennis team was named nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as one of its All-Academic teams, while eight student-athletes on the active roster were named ITA Scholar Athletes, announced today by the organization.

Sara Simonova,
Nel Van Hout, and
Honoka Yamashita were named 2026-26 ITA Scholar Athletes, and the Panthers were one of 231 programs to earn the honor as a team.
The squad a recorded a department-best 3.871 grade-point average for Spring 2026, and holds a 3.753 cumulative GPA as a program, which is the second-highest of all Milwaukee teams.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
*Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
*Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
