GREENWOOD, Ind. – Adding national recognition to his final collegiate season, Milwaukee outfielder
Charlie Marion was announced as a member of the CSC Academic All-America Team.
Â
Marion earned third-team honors by College Sports Communicators (CSC) following an impressive season both in the classroom and on the field.
Â
Entering the spring term, he carried a 3.79 grade-point average and recently concluded his academic career with a cumulative GPA of 3.734 at Milwaukee. A Biomedical & Health Sciences major, Marion was also named to the
CSC Academic All-District Team and the
Horizon League All-Academic Team, earlier this year.
Â
Marion becomes just the fifth baseball player in Milwaukee program history to earn Academic All-America honors and first since 2019, when Trevor Schwecke was named to the second team. Luke Meeteer earned third team recognition in 2016, Sam Koenig was a first-team honoree in 2015, and Tim Patzman became the program's first selection in 2010 as a second-team selection.
Â
Since Milwaukee's transition to Division I in 1990-91, Marion is the Athletic Department's 24th Academic All-American. The most recent honorees came in the fall of 2021, when women's soccer standouts Gaby Schwartz and Mackenzie Schill earned recognition.
Â
Marion also put together another strong season on the field, earning a spot on the
Auburn All-Regional Team during the 2026 Division I Baseball Championship. He was named to the
Horizon League All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive season and earned
All-League First Team honors.
Â
On the season, Marion led Milwaukee with a 1.002 OPS and posted a .321/.402/.600 slash line. He finished with a team-high 14 home runs and 60 RBIs while also ranking among the team leaders in runs scored (52), hits (69), doubles (16), and walks (23).
Â
Following his career with the Panthers,
Marion signed with the Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association of Professional Baseball. Through his first nine games with the Milkmen, Marion has eight hits, including two doubles, while driving in three runs and scoring six.
