INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Milwaukee swim & dive teams competed in the first day of the Horizon League Championships hosted by IU Indy in the IU Natatorium.
The women currently rank third with 90 points, while the men sit fourth with 58 points.
The day was highlighted by the women's 200 medley relay team who secured the top spot on the podium. The team of
Mara Freeman,
Gabrielle LePine,
Maddi Hayashi, and
Christiana Brooks turned in a time of 1:40.02 which ranks second in the Panther record books for the event.
The unit of
Natalie DiProspero,
Erika Thomas,
Catelyn Fonda, and
Audrey Dixon finished third in the 800 freestyle relay, clocking a time of 7:28.93.
Kristina Wittmann and
Rianna Dobbie claimed the top two spots in the 3-meter dive consolation final, turning in efforts of 257.55 points and 236.20 points, respectively.
For the men, the team of
Sam Lorenz,
Andrew Jones,
Caleb Carlisle, and
Charlie House took fourth place in the 200 medley relay, setting a new school record with their 1:26.36 outing.
In the final event of the day,
Gunnar Seversen,
Charlie House,
Josh Crook, and
Jean Ducastel ended fifth in the 800 freestyle relay (6:34.38).
