PREVIEW: Panthers Wrap Up Regular Season

Milwaukee competes at Bradley Pink Classic

October 14, 2026

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee cross country program returns to action Friday, Oct. 16, as they are set to battle at the Bradley Pink Classic from Illinois to complete their regular season campaign.

The men's 8K race is slated to start at 1:30 p.m. CT, with the women's 6K competition following at 2:15 p.m. CT on Newman Golf Course. Fans can find meet information and live results, here.

The Panthers last competed two weeks ago at the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. Milwaukee put together strong showings all around as a unit, including six runners on the men's side earning personal bests in Indiana.

Cullen Boyle continued to emerge as the standout for the men, as the Mequon, Wis. native turned in an 8K time of 24:42.7. The performance elevated Boyle into fifth all-time in Milwaukee history for quickest 8K.

Harper Fahey carved off nearly a minute from his previous career best, clocking in at a time of 25:06.2. The senior had never run an 8K below 26 minutes before his outing at the Joe Piane Invitational.

For the women's team, Janiyah Taylor and Mariah Wondra continued to lead the pack for the Panthers. Wondra recorded another personal best in her freshman season with a 5K time of 18:34.41. Taylor covered the course in 18:34.26, just seconds away from notching her career best in a 5K race.

An assortment of freshmen have scored for the Milwaukee women in 2026, as the trend continued in Notre Dame, where Avery Sommer, Leah Gonwa and Abbey Schultz rounded out the top-5 finishers for the Panthers.

After this Friday, Milwaukee will set its sights on the postseason, returning to the course Friday, Oct. 31 for the Horizon League Championships. The race will be hosted by Robert Morris this season in Clinton, Pa., at the Youthtowne Fields.
