October 16, 2026

PEORIA, Ill. - The Milwaukee men's cross country program earned 21st place at the Bradley Pink Classic Friday afternoon, finishing with 620 points as a unit.

"As it's been since I've arrived at Milwaukee in 2018, the Bradley Pink Classic was a great race for both of our teams," head coach Andrew Basler said.

Cullen Boyle led the way for the Panthers for a fifth consecutive race, placing 114th with a time of 25:06.7.

Alex Anewenter and Alex Lopez-Saucedo paced each other throughout, tallying 139th and 143rd, respectively. Lopez-Saucedo put together his strongest 8K showing while donning the black and gold, turning in a time of 25:31.8.

To complete the scoring, Zach Moss placed 152nd and covered the course in 25:39.5. Nathan Powley trailed by just four seconds, earning 159th.

Talon Gamez, Sam Blascyk, Nelson Mitchell and Will Perez all tallied career-bests in the 8K race as well. Gamez finished the 8K in 26:08.2, while Blascyk ran a time of 26:19.2. Mitchell earned his quickest time in his freshman season at 26:32.8. Perez rounded out the racers for Milwaukee, notching a career-best in the 8K at 27:11.9.

The Panthers will return to the course for their first postseason race of the year, competing at the Horizon League Championships Saturday, Oct. 31, in Clinton, Pa. at the Youthtowne Fields. The men's 8K competition is slated to get underway at 11:00 a.m. CT.

"I think the team is right where we want them two weeks out of the Horizon League Championships," Basler said.
