MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee track & field program has officially released its full schedule for the 2025-26 season. The Black & Gold will compete in 24 meets this season, evenly split between 12 indoor meets and 12 outdoor competitions.
This year's indoor schedule includes two home meets, the annual Tierney Classic on Jan. 18, and the Panther Tune-Up Feb. 21.
INDOOR SEASON
The Black & Gold began its season on Friday, Dec. 12, at DePaul's Blue Demon Invitational. The meet marked the sole competition date for the Panthers before the team turned its focus to the new year.
Milwaukee started 2026 with a road trip to Minneapolis, for the Minnesota Open hosted by Minnesota. The following weekend, the Panthers will host the Tierney Classic in the Klotsche Center on Jan. 18.
The Black & Gold will have three days off from competition before heading to Champaign, Ill., for the Fighting Illini Challenge from Jan. 22-23. The Panthers will also compete in the Iowa's Larry Wieczorek Invitational, on Jan. 23-24. The team will close out the busy month of January when they travel to South Bend, Ind. for Notre Dame's Meyo Invite from Jan. 30-31.
The Panthers will compete in the Iowa State Classic on Friday, Feb. 6, as well as La Crosse's Mark Guthrie Legacy Invite on Saturday, Feb. 7 to begin the month of February.
Grand Valley State's Big Meet Friday on Feb. 13 and DePaul's Blue Demon Alumni Classic on Feb. 13 will round out the indoor regular season away meets for Milwaukee.
The Black & Gold will host the Panther Tune-Up in the Klotsche Center on Feb. 21, marking its final regular season meet before heading to the Horizon League Indoor Championships in Youngstown, Ohio, on Feb. 28 and Mar. 1.
OUTDOOR SEASON
The outdoor track & field season will kick off for Milwaukee in Raleigh, N.C. when it competes in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State on Mar. 26-28. That same weekend, the Black & Gold will participate in Illinois State's Joyce Morton-Kief Invitational from Mar. 27-28.
The month of April begins with an in-state trip to La Crosse for the Ashton May Invite on April 3. The Panthers will then take on a busy split weekend, as some athletes head to Durham, N.C. for the Duke Invitational (April 9-11), while others compete locally at the Marquette Invitational on April 10-11 at Shimek Track & Field Facility, with throwers competing at Raabe Stadium in nearby Wauwatosa as part of the invite.
The Black & Gold will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., for the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State on April 16-17. The Panthers will have another split weekend, as some athletes will travel back to La Crosse for the Phil Esten Challenge on April 17-18. Milwaukee rounds out the month with Louisville's Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Open from April 24-25 and Whitewater's Drake Alternative on April 24.
May will kick off with a return trip to Champaign, Ill. for the Gary Wieneke Memorial hosted by Illinois from May 1-2. The Badger Challenge will also take place that weekend, as various athletes will travel to Madison, Wis. for the meet hosted by Wisconsin on May 1, marking the end of the regular season for the Panthers.
Milwaukee will compete in the Horizon League Outdoor Championships in Rochester, Mich., hosted by Oakland, from May 8-10.
