MADISON, Wis.- The Milwaukee men's track & field team was in action at both the Jim Green Invitational, and Badger Challenge to start its weekend Friday.

Today marked the first day of Kentucky's Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
Jaelyn Reeves-Lile represented the men in the 200m dash by improving his career-best to 20.94, a time that ranks second in program history.

The Panthers will return for day two of the meet tomorrow beginning at 11:00 a.m. (CT).

BADGER CHALLENGE

Milwaukee also had a full day of competition at the Badger Challenge hosted by Wisconsin in Madison on Friday.

Josh Cygan continued to climb the school's all-time rankings in the discus with a toss of 53.30m to vault him into third place.
Â
In the high jump,
Caden Thomas cleared a bar of 1.92m to finish in first place in the event.
Â
The Panthers picked up another win in the long jump, with
Alexander Maggit reaching a distance of 6.58m.
Tim Maidment added on by hitting 6.41m to earn a second-place finish.

Jeremiah Johnson finished runner-up in the hammer throw, launching an attempt a career-best 49.19m.

On the track,
Iyimi Fagbamiye placed second in the 110m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.66.

Kieran Schindler led the way in the 400m dash, taking third place after making his way around the track in 50.93.

The team's best performance in the 100m dash came from
Mason Weaver, who flew through the race in 11.10 for fourth place.
