TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- The Milwaukee track & field teams were in action for the Phil Esten Challenge, as well as the second day of the Gibson Invitational Friday.

The Panthers traveled to compete in the 10,000m run at UW-La Crosse's Phil Esten Challenge,
Cullen Boyle and
Bryce Tome each turned in top-10 marks in school history.
Â
Tome led the way for the men, his time of 30:59.31 elevating him to eighth in the program's rankings and placing him 11th overall on the day.
Â
 Boyle climbed up to ninth on the all-time list, coming in at 31:09.71 and taking 15th place.

Anna Gallagher represented Milwaukee's women at the meet, clocking in with a time of 38:32.69.

Highlighting day two of the action in Terre Haute was
Josh Cygan in the discus, the freshman had his best toss of the day reach 51.61m to move him up to seventh on the program's all-time leaderboard.

Will Whiteis led the way in the 5000m run, taking second place in the 52-runner field with a time of 14:55.96.
Nathan Powley ran as well, finishing the race in 15:51.66.

Leading the women in the event was
Sara Jochims, running to a career-best time of 19:01.13.
Isabella Switalski was the other Panther competing, notching a time of 19:16.79.

Anna Szepieniec had collected 4,016 points in the first six events of the heptathlon, including a long jump performance of 5.82m that placed her first, before not starting in the 800m run to finish the day.

Kallie Volk took part in the long jump (5.26m) and javelin (27.78m) today, finishing with 3,262 points across the five events she competed in.

Nick O'Halloran completed his first colligate decathlon, earning 4,054 points across the ten events.

The meet will conclude tomorrow with field events starting at 10:00 a.m. (CT), and action on the track getting underway at 11:00 a.m. (CT).
