PREVIEW
On the women's side,
Anelise Egge will look to continue her dominant season. At Purdue Fort Wayne's Rumble in the Fort, Egge finished third out of 92 runners, leading the team to a third place finish. This marked her second top-three finish of the season and the sixth of her standout career at Milwaukee.
Rachel Helm and
Anna Gallagher have also delivered key contributions for the Panthers. Helm recently shaved an impressive 40 seconds off her previous 6K time, signaling a strong upward trend as the season enters its crucial second half. Gallagher also made strides at Rumble in the Fort, placing 25th (22:39.1), and clocking her fastest 6K time since her freshman campaign.
The men are led by a trio of standout performers in
Cullen Boyle,
Sam Schreiber, and
Will Whiteis. At Rumble in the Fort, the trio finished in the top-20 of the racing field with Schreiber finishing 13th, Boyle 14th, and Whiteis 16th achieving a career-best 8K finish (25:18.3).
Milwaukee also saw two more athletes set personal bests at Rumble in the Fort in
Harper Fahey (26:19.3) and
Talon Gamez (26:35.3).
The Panthers look ahead to the Bradley Pink Classic, hosted by Bradley University on Friday, Oct. 17. The race will be held in Peoria, Ill., at Newman Golf Course.
