CHICAGO- The Milwaukee women's track & field team returned to action Saturday at the Badgers Midwest Invite in Chicago. The Panthers had five athletes find the podium at the meet, with one first place finish.

Isabel Roloff was the winner on the day for Milwaukee, taking the top spot in the pole vault hitting a height of 3.55m, tying for the ninth-best mark in school history. Finishing second in the event was Hailey Soriaga, topping out at 3.40m.

Dominique Thomas turned in an outstanding effort in the 60m dash, finishing in second place with a time of 7.46. Anna Szepieniec joined her with a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.73.

"It was great seeing a senior like Dominique back on the track, she looked great in the 60m, clocking the best season opener of her career." Said head coach Andrew Basler, "Anna had a strong day as well, showing consistency in her two hurdles races."

In the 600m, Leah Handshoe took a spot on the podium with a third-place time of 1:36.82 in the event.

Olivia VanZeeland improved on her career-best mark in the high jump, tying for the fourth-best jump in school history at 1.70m, good enough for fourth place on the day.

"Olivia did a good job battling through some early heights to be able to clear 1.70m," concluded Basler.
