MILWAUKEE – On Thursday, Milwaukee women's basketball head coach
Kyle Rechlicz announced that Kendall Barnes has signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the Panthers beginning this upcoming season.

"There is nothing like finishing our 2024 class with a bang," Rechlicz mentioned on Barnes' signing. "Kendall has a toughness and determination you don't find much at the high school level. She has a knack for getting to the rim and finishing."

"We can't wait to work with her and help her reach her goals as a player and a person," Rechlicz added.
Barnes most recently played for East Ridge High School located in Woodbury, Minnesota. While with the Raptors, she helped the team finish off a 20-win season as a senior including an appearance in the Class 4A Section 4 Championship Game.

She began her senior season at Roseville Area High School and averaged over 20 points per game in 17 games with the Silver Foxes. Barnes also spent time during her playing career at DeLaSalle High School.

Throughout her high school career, Barnes helped her teams to four state tournament appearances, and was also a Minnesota Miss. Basketball Nominee, while being selected as a Minnesota State All Star.

Additional individual accolades for Barnes included three All-Conference selections, a pair of All-State Honorable Mention nods, while she was also an SEC Defensive Player of the Year on two occasions.

A two-sport athlete in high school, Barnes also ran varsity track and was a Minnesota state champion in the 4x400 relay and was a conference champion in the 300m hurdles. She was a two-time all-conference honoree in the 300m hurdles and earned all-conference accolades in the 100m hurdles.

In the classroom, Barnes is a participant in BSU, and was also a part of AVID, and the Athletic Leadership Council.

Barnes joins Milwaukee's incoming class which includes
CeCe McNair, Kallie Peppler,
Kacee Baumhower, and
Grace Lomen.
