Women's Basketball Signs Pair to Incoming Class of 2024

November 16, 2023

MILWAUKEE – On Thursday, Milwaukee women's basketball signed two student-athletes as announced by head coach Kyle Rechlicz.

Joining the Panthers beginning in 2024-25 will be Cecilia 'CeCe' McNair and Kallie Peppler.

"It's a small but a talented class," noted Rechlicz. "We are bringing in size, length and players that are willing to work hard for championships. They both come from outstanding families that are a joy to be around. We are extremely thankful that both Kallie and CeCe believe in us as much as we believe in them. We can't wait to get them in Panther uniforms next season."

McNair Signing 2023
McNair will come to Milwaukee as a forward from Savage, Minnesota, where she is going to wrap up her high school career at Prior Lake this season. As a junior with the Lakers, McNair helped lead the team to a 16-11 record, which included a win in the sectional quarterfinal over Shakopee in the 2AAAA bracket.

Thus far in her career, she has been a three-year starter and was named an All-Conference selection on two occasions including last year, when she averaged a double-double. She also plays AAU basketball for the Minnesota Stars 3SSB squad. McNair will intend to study pre-medicine while at UW-Milwaukee.

"We are excited that CeCe is officially a Panther," said Rechlicz. "Her size will bring us some much-needed depth in the post. She has a soft touch in the paint and is an incredible passer on the perimeter. Her potential is limitless, and we can't wait to see how she develops under our leadership."

Kallie Peppler Signing New 2023
Peppler, from Hortonville, Wisconsin, has been a first team All-Conference member in the competitive Fox Valley Association Conference as a member of the Hortonville Polar Bears. During her first two years in high school the team reached the sectional rounds of the WIAA postseason, and most recently reached the state semifinals a season ago as the team totaled 25 victories.

In addition to her success in high school, Peppler also played AAU Basketball for the Wisconsin Flight Elite for the past six years. She will look to pursue a degree in elementary education while studying at UW-Milwaukee beginning her studies in the fall of 2024.

"We are thrilled to sign Kallie to our 2024 class," Rechlicz added. "Her length and athleticism fit both our offensive and defensive system. One of her best attributes is that she is a fierce competitor that knows how to win. We expect her to step on campus and play early in her career."
