MILWAUKEE – Head coach Kyle Rechlicz has announced the hiring of Rich Mullin as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee women's basketball staff, joining the Panthers for the 2026-27 season.
 
Mullin comes to Milwaukee from Minot State University in North Dakota, where he spent two seasons on the Beavers' staff. During his tenure, the program posted nine Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) wins, its best conference mark in eight seasons. Overall, the team won 21 games and qualified for the NSIC Tournament in both seasons.
 
"We were looking for a coach with player development experience and a wealth of coaching knowledge, and we are fortunate to have found a great fit in Rich," commented Rechlicz. "He has a proven track record of helping athletes maximize their full potential. We are looking forward to the impact that he will make on and off the floor, as well as the mentorship he will provide for our athletes." 
 
Prior to Minot State, Mullin was on the staff at North Dakota State College of Science. The Wildcats went 28-7 in 2023-24, earned an NJCAA Region XIII Championship, and added a North Central District Championship as the team advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament.
 
Mullin began the 2022-23 season as an assistant coach at Dawson Community College in Montana before being elevated to interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
 
During the 2018-19 season, Mullin was a part of the men's staff at the University of South Florida, helping the team to a 24-win season. The season culminated with a College Basketball Invitational championship, defeating DePaul in a best-of-three series.
 
While in Florida, Mullin's coaching background included stops at Calvary Christian High School, Trinity Basketball Academy, J.W. Mitchell High School, Elfers Christian School and Ridgewood High School.
 
He received his master's degree in sports management from Minot State in July 2026 after earning his bachelor's degree in management from South Florida. He also holds an associate degree with a concentration in management from Pasco-Hernando State College.
