MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's tennis team has earned the No. 4 seed in the Horizon League Championship and will face No. 5 Northern Kentucky Friday, April 26 from the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Ind., now set for a new start time of 11:30 a.m. CT.
Originally set for a 2 p.m. CT beginning, all matches at the event have been adjusted ahead to avoid inclement weather to enable the quarterfinals to be played outside. The Panthers (9-11, 3-3 Horizon League) and Norse (5-11, 2-4 Horizon League) played last weekend, where MKE dominated doubles play and then rode that momentum into singles action following a tough start in earning a 5-2 victory April 20. Milwaukee is now 7-3 all-time against the Norse, going 1-1 last season including a 4-2 victory in the postseason.
