TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Milwaukee track & field programs continued day two at the Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State University at the Gibson Track & Field Complex.

Through the day the men's team is currently in eighth position with just three events competed in the javelin, shot put, and 5000m run. The women's team has accumulated 13 points through the day.

Women's Update
The multis finished up the heptathlon on Friday led by a pair of personal-best scores as
Kortnie Volk led the Panthers with a fifth-place finish as she had registered 4622 points. The point total was a personal-best while she made into sixth place on the program record list.

"The female multis competed well over both days with ups and downs, but they finished strong," noted head coach
Andrew Basler.

Aubrie Gorski also had a personal-best in the heptathlon with 3972 points, while
Jada Schuh finished the two-day event with 4067 points.

In the hammer,
Jamie Pankratz led the way with a fifth-place finish at 50.29 meters, the throw was the best in her Milwaukee career as she too placed sixth on the all-time Panther list.

Samantha Satterfield was one position behind in sixth place as she helped accumulate three points for Milwaukee with a throw of 50.02 meters.

"Hammer throw went really well," added Basler. "Sam, Jamie, and
Lauren Lietzke had good throws and are really establishing themselves in that event." Lietzke had a throw of 47.74m.

Madison Hughes and
Anna Gallagher had six points for Milwaukee in the women's 5000 as Hughes picked up four points with an 18:30.55, with Gallagher notching an 18:57.37 in her first outdoor 5K.

Men's Update
In throws,
Tony Bretall led Milwaukee in the javelin with a sixth-place finish to record three team points for Milwaukee as he recorded a 49.86m throw.
Jack Misky also threw javelin and had a personal-best with a 43.64m throw.

"I thought both Jack and Tony competed really well," noted Basler.
Â
Caleb Rogalski also had one point a throw of 54.91 meters in the hammer.
Â
Ian Nadolski finished 11th in the men's 5000 with a time of 15:36.06.

"Today was not ideal weather for running distance with how hot it was with the wind," commented Basler on Hughes, Gallagher and Nadolski. "I think it impacted them as the race went on, I would have liked to have seen them in some better conditions, but the effort was there, and I was happy with the effort put forth."

Up Next
Tomorrow will be the third and final day of the Gibson Invitational at Indiana State beginning at 10:00 a.m. (CT), while the team will also compete at the Green & White Invite at Wisconsin Lutheran in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, also at 10:00 a.m.
