INDIANAPOLIS – The Milwaukee men's and women's cross country teams had one representative each named to the Horizon League's All-Academic Teams, as announced today by the league office.
Bryce Tome and
Cailin Kinas were the two Panthers to receive the honors for the 2023 season, marking the first selection for Tome and the second for Kinas.
Though this is his first time on the All-Academic Team, Tome has been a staple on the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll throughout his time at Milwaukee, appearing six times through the cross country and track seasons. Currently studying for his master's degree in computer science, Tome graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and is a six-time member of the Dean's list. Kinas is a repeat selection to the All-Academic team, earning her first selection in 2022. A third-year nutritional sciences major, Kinas is a two-time member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll. She is also a four-time member of the Dean's List and boasts a 4.00 GPA throughout her time at Milwaukee.
Consistently one of Milwaukee's top finishers during the season, Kinas racked up three top-ten finishes in 2023, including 5
