MILWAUKEE – Laure Razet has signed to play for the Milwaukee women's tennis team, head coach
Ryan Kucera announced today.
Razet, who comes from Paris, France, will transfer from Tarleton State.
"We are extremely excited to be welcoming Laure to the Panther family," Kucera said. "She brings a multitude of skills to the table. Her main weapons are an explosive serve and a forehand that can do damage from all areas of the court. What really stands out about Laure though, she is an intense competitor with a high tennis IQ. You can never count her out of a match. She is an equally strong fit for us outside the tennis court."
A French Junior Championship semi-finalist, Razet brings an extensive resume of success to the MKE program. She will arrive at Milwaukee with three years of eligibility remaining and is a 12-time French Junior Major Tournament champion and two-time ITF tournament singles semifinalist.
"Laure is a great student, and a genuine young person who shows passion and excitement to be a Panther," Kucera said. "We look forward to her contributions on the court and to our culture."
Other notable career achievements for Razet include a Junior ITF singles ranking of 1408, a Women's ITF singles ranking of 1448, and a career-high UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) of 8.76.
