MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's tennis team was named nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as one of their All-Academic teams, while five student-athletes on the active roster were named ITA Scholar Athletes, announced today by the organization.

Sara Simonova,
Emilia Durska, and
Elisa Rubio were named ITA Scholar Athletes, and the Panthers were one of 222 programs to earn the honor as a team.
The squad a recorded a 3.726 grade-point average for Spring 2025, and holds a 3.799 cumulative GPA, which is the highest of all Milwaukee teams.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
