Panthers Ranked Nationally And In Great Lakes Region

Highest Horizon League teams in national poll

MILWAUKEE – In the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association track and field indoor rankings of the year, the Milwaukee track teams were each ranked 11th in the Great Lakes Region.
 
On the women's side, the Panthers were the highest ranked Horizon League team in the rankings, finishing ahead of league foes such as Youngstown State (12th) and Purdue Fort Wayne (14th). The men were the second highest Horizon League team on the poll, one spot behind Youngstown State.
 
Both teams were the highest Horizon League teams ranked in the national poll, with the men coming in at 58th. Milwaukee was one of three Horizon League men's teams in the poll, placing ahead of Youngstown State and Oakland. The women's team finished at 107th, eight spots ahead of Youngstown State.
 
Milwaukee return to action at the annual Tierney Classic on Saturday inside the Klotsche Center at 10 a.m.
