MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Members of the Milwaukee baseball team and coaching staff continue to stay busy as the offseason begins to come to a close, recently volunteering their time and service at the Salvation Army with the Toys for Tots Program.
The Panthers went down to the Salvation Army location off of Silver Spring Drive this week and helped out with toy sorting and distribution.
The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys from October through December of each year, distributing those toys as Christmas gifts to less-fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less-fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
