MILWAUKEE – After wrapping up his playing career with the Panthers this spring,
Logan Snow has signed a professional contract with the Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB).
Â
The Horizon League Reliever of the Year and First Team All-Horizon League selection this past season will continue his playing career at Franklin Field in the AAPB, an official Major League Baseball Partner League.
Â
"We are very excited and proud of Logan for having this opportunity to continue his pitching career at the professionally," said Panther head coach
Shaun Wegner. "He came in a little bit unknown and put his head down and worked every day for this."
Â
"He was a consummate teammate and really relishes the opportunity to pitch in high-leverage situations," Wegner added. "He earned every bit of the Reliever of the Year award and this year with his consistency and production. I hope this is just the beginning for him and he can show well for the hometown Milkmen!"
Â
This past season, Snow posted a 1.89 earned run average over 33 1/3 innings in 23 appearances. He led the Horizon League with seven saves and held opponents to a .195 batting average. His season included 14 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings across 12 games from Mar. 21 through May 10.
Â
In two seasons at Milwaukee, Snow made 40 appearances with all but one coming in relief. He had three wins and eight saves over 83 2/3 innings. He concluded his Panther career with a 4.52 ERA, striking out 71 batters while issuing 33 walks and holding opponents to a .235 batting average.
Â
After signing with the Milkmen on May 30, Snow made his professional debut later the following day against Fargo-Moorehead. The right-hander tossed two innings without allowing an earned run and notched his first professional strikeout against the RedHawks.
Â
The Milkmen enter play on Jun. 3 just 3 1/2 games back of first place in a tightly-contested East Division of the AAPB. Milwaukee is home at Franklin Field from Jun. 3-5 against Lincoln, and Jun. 6-8 versus Gary SouthShore.
Â
Snow and former teammate
Luke Hansel will square off Jun. 20-22 as the Milkmen will visit the Lake Country DockHounds at WBC Park in Oconomowoc, Wis.
