WHEATON, Ill. – The Milwaukee men's swimming and diving team silenced the Wheaton Thunder in dual on Friday evening in Wheaton, Ill. The Panthers used nine event wins to outscore the Thunder, 103-97.

Milwaukee extends its all-time series lead, 29-1, over Wheaton with its only loss back in 2001.

Sophomore
Jack Garcia led the Panthers with two individual event wins on the day. Garcia touched the wall first in the 200 free in 1:45.52 while teammate
Ryan Scripp claimed second in 1:45.67.Â

Garcia also grabbed a first-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 48.35.

Freshman
Jonathan Kollen led the field in the sprints, touching the wall first in the 50 free in 22:41.

The distance squad had a good night after sophomore
Mason Schoof finished first in the 500 free (4:51.93) and junior
Colin Duffy grabbed first-place in the 1000 free with a time of 10:11.0. Senior
Jacob Fase also had a top finish in the 1000 free, touching the wall in 10:22.35, to take second.

Sophomore
John Ruan took charge in the 100 fly to touch the wall nearly a full two seconds ahead of the field in 53.18.

The Panthers had two top finishes in the 400 IM with
Dane Van Allen claiming first place (4:17.47) and
Isaac Jiardini grabbing third place (4:29.42).

Freshman
Jacob Weber had a top finish in the 100 back, touching the wall in 53.75 for second place.

To cap it off, the Panthers grabbed a pair of wins in both relays. The 200 free relay of Ruan, Kollen, Scripp, and
Bailey Bodart finished over a second and a half ahead of the field in 1:26.67 to take first while the 200 medley relay of
Ben Huynh,
Carson Niemiec, Weber, and Kollen won with a time of 1:36.89.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow against league foe UIC on Saturday, Nov. 9. Racing is set to begin at 11 a.m. from the Flames Natatorium in Chicago, Ill.
