Madison, Wis. – The Milwaukee men's swim & dive team competed in the Wisconsin Badger Invitational Friday and Saturday.
"Championship season has started and we couldn't be happier," said head coach
Kyle Clements. "Across both teams, all classes, and all training groups, we had a lot of success."
Alvin Valkki was the top performer for Milwaukee in the 100 Butterfly, turning in a finals time of 50.62.
Etienne Dolezal finished third in the 50 Freestyle with his 20.73 finals time.
Jared Bruce wasn't far behind, securing fourth with his 21.25 outing.
Dolezal continued his momentum into the 100 Freestyle (45.87) where he was the top Panther finisher.
In the 200 Butterfly A-Final,
Tanner Stumpenhorst clocked a time of 1:53.17, touching the wall third.
Marko Vucelic qualified for the A-Final 200 Breaststroke where he turned in a 2:07.94 outing, taking third place.
Emery Reszka competed in the 200 Freestyle A-Final, taking home seventh place (1:45.30).
"In a smaller meet like this, it's hard to create the championship atmosphere, but our athletes made the most of it and swam some championship times," added Clements. "Those that are waiting to swim in a couple of weeks should be really excited by what this group just did."

Milwaukee prepares for the Horizon League Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., Feb. 18-21. The meet will be held in the IU Natatorium.
