Milwaukee dominates first dual meet of 2026-27 campaign

November 06, 2026

WHEATON, Ill. - The Milwaukee men's swim and dive program tallied its first win of the season, downing Wheaton College with a final score of 136-65 at the Jonathan Lederhouse Natatorium Friday night.

Josh Crook kicked things off with a first-place finish in the 1000 freestyle, turning in a time of 9:41.19. Jean Ducastel followed it up by earning gold in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.32.

Macyn Sawall, in just the third meet of his collegiate career, notched first in the 50 freestyle. The New Richmond, Wis. native finished with a personal best at 20.97 seconds.

Emre Arican and Yassin Dwidar took first and second, respectively, in the 400 IM to combine for 13 points. Logan Beebe and Charlie House wrapped up the top two spots in the 100 butterfly as well.

Caleb Carlisle and Larry Rattler each put together winning performances in their respective events to wrap up the night.

The Panthers now improve to 35-1 all-time against the Thunder, as they have secured victories in 24 consecutive duals dating back to 2002.

"For this meet the athletes get to pick their own events," head coach Kyle Clements said. "As a coach it's always fun for me to see the swimmers take ownership of their races. Seeing them choose their primary events to work through the details or watching them swim an off event to give themselves a break from the norm is always fun. We have one more training week and then we head to Indy for our midseason meet and see where we really are."

Milwaukee will wrap up the 2026 portion of its schedule in a couple of weeks, traveling to Indiana to take on IU Indy's House of Champions Meet. The event will last from Thursday, Nov. 19 to Saturday, Nov. 21 at the IU Natatorium.
