MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee track & field teams will compete at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., Friday and Saturday.

At Iowa's Larry Wieczorek Invitational, the Panthers turned in several standout performances, highlighted by multiple personal bests across the two-day meet.
Anna Szepieniec continued her dominance in the field events, capturing first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.94 meters. The victory marked her third win in three appearances this indoor season. Her standout performance earned her Horizon League Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors, her second of the season and fourth weekly award of her junior campaign.
The Milwaukee high jumpers also saw success at the event in the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility.
Olivia VanZeeland cleared 1.71 meters in the high jump to finish runner-up, matching the height of the event champion. Jumping 1.66 meters was
Kallie Volk, which was good for fourth overall.
Macy Woodward and
Alexandria Simmons also cracked the top ten with seventh (1.61 meters) and ninth place (1.56 meters) finishes, respectively.
History was made in the women's 4x400-meter relay where the team of
Victoria Evtimov,
Taylor Thimmesch,
Katie Burns, and
Leah Handshoe turned in the second-fastest time in Panther history (3:48.92). The squad finished fifth in the event out of 14 total teams.
For the men, the freshmen duo of
Ty Bauschelt and
Tyler Dahlie led the Panthers in the high jump. Bauschelt tied his season-best outing with his 1.98-meter clearance, and Dahlie soared over 1.93 meters.
The Black & Gold placed two athletes on the podium in the 1-mile run, led by
Harper Fahey's personal-best time of 4:19.09 to claim second place.
Alex Anewenter followed close behind, finishing third with a season-best mark of 4:21.53.
Anthony Buford turned in two top-10 performances on the weekend. He finished eighth in the long jump with his 6.79-meter effort. In the college 400-meter dash, Buford secured eighth with his season-best performance of 50.47.
