MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee track & field's Olivia VanZeeland was announced as Horizon League Co-Field Athlete of the Week by the league on Tuesday.
 
VanZeeland earns the honor after breaking the program's high jump record at the Gibson Invitational at Indiana State on Saturday, clearing 1.80m and tying for first place on the day.
 
The performance ties her for the best jump in the Horizon League, and 21st in all of NCAA Division I so far this season.
 
The award is the second of the year for VanZeeland, who won during the indoor season back on Jan. 14. She represents the fifth Athlete of the Week award won by the Panthers this outdoor season, bringing the total to sixteen when including indoor competition.
 
The Panthers will be back to work this weekend, starting on Friday with UW-Whitewater's Drake Alternative at Rex Foster Track Complex at 11:00 a.m.
 
On Saturday, Milwaukee will travel to Champaign, Ill. for the Fighting Illini Twilight hosted by Illinois at Demijiran Park at 1:00 p.m.
